Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

By using Scuffaroo you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

1. About Scuffaroo

Scuffaroo Ltd ("Scuffaroo", "we", "us") operates the online marketplace at scuffaroo.com that connects customers seeking vehicle repair services with independent repairers. Scuffaroo is a marketplace intermediary only. We are not a repairer and we are not party to the contract between you and any repairer you book through our platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident to use Scuffaroo as a customer. Repairers must hold valid public liability insurance of at least £1 million and be legally entitled to work in the UK.

3. Customer terms

Getting quotes. Submitting a job on Scuffaroo is free. You provide photos and details of your vehicle damage; we may share these with up to three eligible local repairers who submit fixed-price quotes.

Booking a repair. When you accept a quote and pay, you enter into a direct contract with the repairer. Scuffaroo facilitates the booking and payment but is not a party to that contract.

Payment holding. Your payment is held securely by Scuffaroo and is not released to the repairer until both parties confirm the repair is complete and satisfactory. Scuffaroo acts as payment facilitator only and is not a bank, financial institution, or escrow agent.

Disputes. Once the repairer marks a job as complete, you have 48 hours to raise a dispute if you are unsatisfied. If no dispute is raised within this window and you have confirmed completion, payment is released to the repairer. See our Guarantee page for details.

4. Repairer terms

Application. Repairers must apply and be approved before activation. We reserve the right to decline or remove any repairer from the platform at our discretion.

Quotes. All quotes submitted must be genuine fixed prices. Repairers cannot see other repairers' quotes before submitting their own.

Fees. At launch, Scuffaroo charges no monthly fee and takes no commission on repair fees. This may change in future with reasonable notice.

Payout. Funds are released to repairers once the customer confirms the repair is complete and satisfactory, and the 48-hour dispute window has closed with no dispute raised.

Standards. Repairers must carry out work to a professional standard, take before and after photos on every job, and maintain valid insurance throughout.

5. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Circumvent the platform by arranging payment outside Scuffaroo after a quote is accepted
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or Scuffaroo staff
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit fraudulent jobs, quotes, or reviews

6. Reviews

Only customers who have completed a verified Scuffaroo repair may leave a review. Reviews must be honest and relate to the repair carried out. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these standards.

7. Liability

Scuffaroo's total liability to you in connection with any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid for the repair in question, or £300, whichever is lower.

We are not liable for: the quality of repairs carried out by repairers; loss of use of your vehicle; consequential or indirect losses; or events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Intellectual property

All content on scuffaroo.com, including the Scuffaroo name, logo, and design, is owned by or licensed to Scuffaroo Ltd. You may not reproduce or use it without our written permission.

By submitting photos and content to Scuffaroo you grant us a licence to use that content to operate and improve our platform.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will give you at least 14 days' notice of material changes by email. Your continued use of Scuffaroo after that period means you accept the updated Terms.
